Chengdu metro Line 6 is a line under construction in Chengdu.The total length is 72.9km, with 56 stations,28 of which are transfer stations.The line is the first line designed and constructed directly in accordance with 8A standard since the construction of Chengdu metro. It is also the longest all-underground line among all the current lines. The line starts from Taiqing road station, and go through Pidu area, Western High-Tech district, Jinniu district, Chenghua district, Jinjiang district, Southern High-Tech district, and Tianfu new district 6 administrative region, and ends at Lanjiagou station.
The first and second phases of the project start from Wangcong temple station and end at Guandong station. The construction started on July 15, 2016, and are expected to be completed and open to traffic in 2020.The third phase project ( the first phase of the original line 11) starts at Xintong avenue station and ends at Lanjiagou station, and started on February 27, 2017.
In March 2019, by virtue of absolute advantage, Chengdu metro line 6 project was successfully won.
